As part of the Harwich Port Christmas Stroll, the Guild of Harwich Artists hosted a sale of hand-painted ornaments to benefit The Family Pantry of Cape Cod.   Artist members of the guild created one-of-a-kind, original art in oil and acrylic on tiny canvasses and in watercolor and pastel in tiny golden frames.  At $15 each including tax, and every one a charitable gift, sales of these mini-ornaments have resulted in a donation of over $1100 from the guild to The Family Pantry of Cape Cod. Ornaments are still being sold at The Art Gallery in Harwich Port on weekends.     Pictured Larry Folding - Mary Anderson - Barbara Grasso Thank you!

The Family Pantry of Cape Cod would like to thank those who have donated so generously to our purpose.  Most recently, these donors include the Boston Red Sox, the 2012 Housing Walk with Love, and Stop & Shop's Food for Friends program. As part of the Red Sox 100 years celebration they decided to perform 100 acts of kindness during 2013. The Family Pantry of Cape Cod was fortunate enough to be selected as one of the beneficiaries and a few weeks ago a group from the Red Sox Office and Foundation delivered 100 turkeys to us for the holidays!  Thank You Red Sox - and 2013 is YOUR year!  Photo courtesy of Matthew Healey  Click here for more photos of the Red Sox donation.
